NECA TMNT Baby Turtle Accessory Set Review + NECA Mikey pics

I couldn't resist rounding off my Neca 1/4 Turtle figures by getting this accessory kit that's come out recently. The 4 baby turtles are based off the flash back sequence from the 1990 movie where Master Splinter recalls finding the newly born heroes in a half shell along with the broken Ooze canister.

Ejnoy the pictures!

Neca Bat Gremlin (plus friends) Figure review

I mentioned (I think) in my recent Gremlins post that I had recently picked up the Bat Gremlin.

For what ever reason the image of a Gremlin sprouting bat wings really stuck with me when I saw the film as a kid. So when I first heard NECA where doing Gremlins figures I held out hope they'd produce this little fella, and when he was finally announced I knew I really had to have him!

He's a great figure and I'd highly recommend him to any fan of the film, he makes a great display piece.

Neca Gremlins 2 Mohawk (ver 2) Review

Last year NECA released a version 2.0 of their Mohawk figure from the movie Gremlins 2. I never got the first release when it came out so I welcomed the announcement, visually it's a great character and I feel NECA outdid themselves on this one. Bah if only I had bought the Mohawk Mogwai figure!

Enjoy the pics n review!

NECA Ash (from 'Ash vs the Evil Dead') Figure Review

At this point NECA have done a whole bunch of Evil Dead figures from all the movies, but I was especially intrigued when they first showed off their figures based on the 2015 TV series.
There's something even more endearing about an older, grumpy and frumpier Ash.
I've picked up one figure so far from this series but after taking pictures of him the other night I realise that I should seriously get some more!

A point to note, there are two versions of this figure. After the below figure was released NECA went on to release an 'Ultimate' version that comes with 2 x extra heads, his 'woody' hand and a picture of his car.  Bloody typical, I should have waited haha.

Enjoy the pictures and review :)

I'm back! Here are some NECA 1/4 Turtle pictures to celebrate.

I'm back after a fairly long hiatus, *cough 6 years! My collecting habit has not slowed down any. Although I'd say due to mental spirally costs of Hot Toys I've probably shifted more towards collecting smaller scale figures like NECA, Figuarts and Figma stuff. The quality for these companies has jumped up massively over the last few years and they are a pleasure to buy and display, plus they take up less room ha.

That being said, over 2017 I bought the fairly big 1/4 TMNT figures that NECA released one by one, thank god they didn't release them all at once as it was a fairly expensive affair. Due to stupid licensing issues they weren't released in the UK for sale so each figure had to be purchased from the US, or risk paying nutty aftermarket prices. I'm chuffed to own all four now. Enjoy the pics and look out for more review's coming soon.

Neca Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Thought I'd upload some pictures of the superb Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures that I bought recently.
I missed out on these at the time when they were released, but always planned to get them at some point.

Neca Freddy & Perseus

I stopped in at Forbidden Planet the other day and saw these two, I'm not normally a big buyer of 6" - 7" figures these days but something about them just caught my eye.
Neca's Nightmare on Elm Street (remake) and Clash of the Titans.

The sculpting is pretty good on Freddy and for such a small figure he's really well done. He comes with alternative head which sports a different expression and his little hat comes off (its a soft molded rubber and pretty good quality)

Perseus doesn't look quite as good but has a great range of movement, including a ball jointed neck and ball jointed elbows and knee's. meaning he's pretty damn posable.

Something I thought I'd highlight is the detailing on the rear of his shield. Not bad for 7" scale. Neca's been fairly strong these past couple of years. Covering a lot of cult movies and the Harry Potter series.

Ha he looks so small next to Marcus though.

Freddy and Perseus arguing over who's going to make tea tonight.

Not bad for the price (I think they cost £11.99 or something about there)
Just makes for more clutter on my desk though I suppose haha.
