1/4 Enterbay Terminator 2 Figure Review

I've had this figure for a while. My personal opinion, this figure represents Enterbay's finest work. I might be a bit biased though as I'm a massive fan of the Terminator series and the man himself Arnie.

As the title suggests, this figure is a 1/4 scale figure. Which means he's pretty big standing at just under 19 inches tall. I always said I wouldn't get into buying larger figures and models like this, but I just had to make an exception here.

The figure stands really naturally and has a great presence. I don't know what it is, but he has a very realistic centre of gravity that makes him look like he's supporting his own weight.

Overall articulation is spot on, with double jointed elbows and knees, and he has decent ankle and head movement too. And his shoulders have a great swing and tilt movement too them. One slight niggle - due to the size and weight of this figure, his shoulders tend to get a little loose. You can however tighten the joints with a small screwdriver.

Clothing-wise all the materials used are excellent. His jacket and trousers are made with real leather. His t-shirt seems to be made from a fine cotton and looks great too. Even his boots are made from leather.

The tailoring on his outfit is very well done. With him being 1/4 scale that extra size really helps with the stitching and zips etc.

At a quick glance he almost looks like a movie still at times.

The sawn off Winchester shotgun is made of wood and metal (diecast I think) and as the below picture demonstrates it can actually be loaded with shotgun shells. He comes with a handful of spare shells too.

The iconic black and silver 1911 handgun that Arnie uses in T2 is included and once again is made from metal. The top slide can be pushed back and operated just like the real thing. The clip is also removable and has actual removable bullets!

Of course he also comes with a gift box of roses so you can hide away his shotgun inside. Each rose is individual and made from a paper like material. The roses can be removed too. It's funny, it wasn't until recently that I got the joke - he hides the shotgun in the box of roses and this gag was a nod to Guns and Roses who provided music for the film. Kinda obvious now that I think about it haha.

Here he is pictured with a Hasbro First Order Stormtrooper figure to help demonstrate his size.

And here he is stood next to the DX10 T800 figure by Hot Toys.

Of course his sunglasses are removable too. The face sculpt is pretty close to Arnie but the eyes maybe let the sculpt down a little bit. He has a caricature look about him. He definitely looks better with the glasses on.

So technically this is a post about two figures released by Enterbay. A short time after releasing the standard version of the T800 they released a battle damaged version. he came with a hole bunch of extra accessories including a grey T-shirt and various pieces that allow you to recreate the look Arnie had for the attack on the Cyberdyne building.

Included with the battle damaged terminator figure was the huge mini gun. Once again it's made from metal (with some plastic) and is an amazing inclusion. The grenades on his bandoleer are also made from metal and can be removed.

You get all the necessary accessories to recreate the Endo-Skeleton arm reveal scene from the film.

His left arm can be removed and replaced with the below Endo arm, which of course is made of metal and is fully articulated, right down to the individual fingers and joints.

As mentioned, here is the battle damaged figure below. same size and quality. Ironically I'd say they nailed the likeness of Arnie even more for this figure.

The battle damaged figure also comes with his grenade launcher, which is equally as good quality as the shotgun and pistol. It's also made from wood and metal and can be opened and loaded with grenades.

The exposed Endo-Skeleton eye lights up.

All the detail and weathering on this figure is done well. I love the exposed bits of Endo-Skeleton.

As a kid I used to own a Dark Horse Aliens comic and towards the back it advertised a model kit for a battle damaged Terminator. I used to dream of the day I could own it. Never did I think that one day I'd own something that completely blows that model kit out of the water.

The below pictured panel (the exposed Endo skull) is actually a push-in panel that activates the light up eye. It works on a timer so the eye stays light up for a minute or so after pressing.

Lastly here's a picture of the various things you end up with if you buy both the normal and battle damaged versions. The battle damaged figure comes with the below pictured minigun, grenade belt (and grenades) and the launcher itself. The rest comes with the 'clean' version.

Both figures also come with a full range of changeable hands, both normal and gloved. I forgot to check before post, but it's around 4 pairs each.

I'm super pleased that I bought both these figures when they were released. I'd say they are two of my favourite figures that I own. They are getting pretty scarce now, last time I checked Ebay it seemed like the clean version wasn't being listed at all.
Ironically at the time they were almost the same price that Hot Toys now charge for their 1/6 Iron Man stuff!

Enterbay went on to release a T-1000 figure in the same scale. I never got round to buying it though. One of the reasons was accessory wise he fell way behind the two Arnie figures. He was essentially a representation of the final foundry scene T-1000, he had the half motorcycle cop outfit on, but didn't come with any other clothing pieces or equipment. One day I might get around to buying him, but for now I'm more than happy with these two fantastic figures.
